Patient Advocate

We have received numerous comments from you regarding the time spent in the patient waiting area, patient exam rooms and the time it takes to schedule an appointment.  Based on the comments we received we have been working on improving this process.  In order to meet the needs of our patients and utilize the patient/provider time in an effective manner we have developed open access and the Primary Care Provider teams.

Health Benefits Coordinator

I am here to assist you with most of your insurance needs: Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Insurance.  I can also assist you in starting the paperwork for Disability or other Social Security needs.  I have also received certification as an In-Person Assistor for Your Health Idaho (YHI) also known as Obama Care.

Health Insurance is a vital part of funding the high cost of health care.  You may have received an “Alternate Resource” letter from NMPH advising you that you have 30 days to apply for an insurance or complete paperwork requested from your existing insurance or risk losing you CHS eligibility.  We are the Payer of Last Resort NMPH/IHS policy 42 C.F.R. 36.61 requires that when there is an alternate resource available at no cost to the patient, it must be utilized before NMPH/CHS funds can be paid.  This includes Workman’s Compensation, Voc-Rehab, and Veterans Benefits.
